Mission and Objective
 

The mission of the Chapter is to:

  • Increase recognition of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research in domestic medical doctors, physicians, pharmaceutists and other professionals in health care and related branches through professional trainings.
  • Provide an environment where domestic medical doctors, physicians, pharmaceutists, decision-makers and other professionals in health care and related branches can share knowledge and information all through China.
  • Serve as a bridge in bringing together domestic medical doctors, physicians, pharmaceutists and other professionals in health care and related branches and members of the pharmaceutical industry, health-related organizations, and academia.
  • Act as a bank of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research in China for individuals interested in pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research.

The objective of the Chapter is to:

  • use the scarce health care resource in China to a maximum to improve the health status of the Chinese population
  • compile China pharmacoeconomic Guideline and make it the national industry standard for pharmacoeconomic evaluation to promote the development of pharmacoeconomics in China.
  • carry out entrusted research programs to study how pharmacoeconomic evaluation can play a bigger role in new drug registration process, drug pricing and reimbursement policy.
  • widespread the idea of pharmacoeconomics to direct reasonable drug purchasing in China
  • create an communication platform for an exchange of information and development of all forms of collaboration between its members and organizations
  • thoroughly study how to transfer pharmacoeconomic results into practice and suggest measures in public health policies.
  • promote introduction of newest medical achievements and pharmacoeconomics & outcomes news
  • organize various meetings with foreign experts to discuss and popularize pharmacoeconomics in China.
  • add economic factor into drug evaluation to promote scientific drug pricing and rational drug usage in China.
  • establish pharmacoeconomic database to serve as information resource for academic researches
  • carry out information activity in electronic and printed mass media and information networks
  • carry out lectures and seminars on urgent questions of development of public healthcare services.
  • establish and supports communications with none-governmental foreign and international organizations for realization of the purposes determined by the present Charter
